Our clients are very important to us and we are prioritizing everyone’s safety during this time. The Centre has been thoroughly cleaned and is now closed to clients. However, it is of vital importance to us that we continue to serve and care for our clients, so we have adjusted the way we provide our services to keep them safe.  Although our office is not open to the public, we are still here and available by phone, email, or video conferencing during regular hours. Our goal is to ensure that no transmission of this virus occurs as a result of our operations.

If you are in need of a pregnancy test, we will arrange a time for you to pick up a self-administered, urine-based test to be done at home. We can also provide emotional support by phone or virtual meeting after the test. We recognize that the COVID-19 situation can put added stress to the possibility of an unplanned pregnancy and are here to support you as best we can. If you are in need of a pregnancy test, contact us to make your safe pick up appointment.

If you are in need of maternity or baby items such as diapers, formula, maternity/baby clothing from our Grace Closet, please contact us to check availability of the items you are looking for and to arrange a no contact method of receiving these items. COVID-19 is having a financial impact on many families and we will do our best to meet the needs as best we can. Community matters to us and you are our neighbor.

We are still able to provide emotional support as you explore pregnancy options, support during pregnancy, community resource information, and prenatal/childbirth education (on a limited basis). Contact us to arrange the best method of communication for you and to learn more about how we can support you.

Another virtual option for support is: https://onlinecare.ca/

HPRC is not a medical facility and is not a substitute for professional medical advice. We do not administer or interpret your pregnancy test. The individuals you meet with are peer-to-peer support workers, and are not doctors, nurses, or professional counsellors. We highly recommend follow-up with a physician to diagnose a pregnancy.

Please complete the form below and we will get back to you during our regular office hours.  If you would prefer to contact us directly we can be reached at 705.527.4272 or by email at hprc@bellnet.ca

Please note, for the safety of our team and the families we serve, we are currently not accepting donations of baby items and clothing until the lockdown is over.
