Sometimes in our pregnancy and parenting journey, it’s necessary to give space for the way things used to be, especially when the pregnancy was unexpected. To reflect, to grieve, to express gratitude for what was. Your life looks so different now, it’s normal to miss the way it used to be.....who you used to be. It’s okay to feel what you’re feeling. But don’t set up camp there. Feel what you need to feel, release it, then move forward into hope. Hope for all that is to come.

Wisdom Wednesday: When we think of the process of refining gold, we see it goes through intense heat, crushing force, and repeated hammering. It’s not an easy process. Facing an unexpected pregnancy can feel this same way for some women. The intense heat from fear and anxiety; the crushing force of opinions and advice; and the repeated hammering of our thoughts trying make a choice. It can be incredibly difficult. That’s where we come in. Having a trusted, impartial place to talk everything out removes the heat, crushing and hammering and offers in it’s place a space of hope to catch your breath. We’re here for you. 🌸
